Igor Lauko

I am an elite obstacle runner in the most popular obstacle run in the world, the Spartan Race. I come from Likavka, but for the last 5 years I have been living in a small village on Mních hill, called Martinček, directly below the Chočské vrchy, which have become my passion. I have been involved in acrobatic breakdancing, parkour, motocross, bodybuilding for many years and I have always been attracted to extremes and adventure. The love of nature has been dormant in me since forever and fully awakened in me when I got on my life's journey as an obstacle runner and discovered myself.

The love of nature has been dormant in me since forever and fully awakened in me when I got on my life's journey as an obstacle runner and discovered myself. I have never been afraid to compete with the best elite athletes in Europe or the world, and in addition to dozens of podium places, I am currently ranked 9th in the Central European Elite Series. In 2018, at the European Championships, in the French Alps in Elite, I took the 47th place.

At the European Championship in the Italian Dolomites in Elite, 24th place. And for the first time I also presented myself at the World Championships, in Sparta, Greece, where in two days I conquered the Trifecta in the biggest competition in the world, Super Elite 25th place, Sprint Elite 20th place, Beast Elite 20th place and I was 23rd the overall place. The most beautiful victory is over yourself, when you can fulfill a set goal and overcome yourself. Veľký Choč has already let me reach his peak more than 500 times in training, and sometimes even every day. I ran it 7 times in a row in 13 hours 42 minutes 36 seconds. "Change yourself and you will change the world for the better" should not only be my motto.

Thank you for standing up for me Adamsport and helping me on my way to my dream. Together we will show you how you too can make your dreams come true.
